TO RETAIN AN ATTORNEY AT
DESSEN, MOSES & ROSSITTO

Set forth below is information about how DM&R will handle your case if you choose to retain us for your legal matter.

HOW DO I CONTACT DESSEN, MOSES & ROSSITTO?

If you think that DESSEN, MOSES & ROSSITTO may be able to help with your legal matter, please telephone us at 1-215-564-5600 to discuss your situation with one of our attorneys. If we believe we can assist you, we will give you our best estimate of the legal fees and costs, if any, we expect you to pay. We will then mail you a Fee Agreement to sign and return to us with your payment.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME TO HIRE DM&R?

The fee and cost arrangements DM&R enters with you depends upon the type of legal matter you hire us to handle. Certain cases, such as medical malpractice and automobile accidents, are generally handled on a "contingent fee" basis, and you are usually not expected to pay any fees in advance. Other matters, such as preparation of wills and deeds, are frequently handled on a "flat fee" basis. In this case, we will advise you in advance of the exact amount of legal fees which will be required to complete the given matter. The third general category of fee arrangements is hourly work. For hourly arrangements, the lawyer anticipates the amount of time which the case will take and sets an amount of money needed to begin work. In turn, you pay in advance for a set number of hours of legal work. If your initial deposit is used up, we will bill you monthly. We will advise you if we find that unexpected developments or complications arise which have made our original estimates inaccurate.

WHEN DOES DM&R BECOME MY LAW FIRM?

We become your lawyer only after you sign and return the Contingent Fee Agreement or New Client Fee Agreement and any required deposit to us. When that occurs, we will begin working on your matter. Until you and one of the attorneys from DESSEN, MOSES & ROSSITTO have both executed a Fee Agreement, and we have received any deposit monies required, we have not agreed to be your lawyer.

HOW WILL DM&R HANDLE MY CASE?

The DM&R attorney will ask you what you want us to do and will then try to accomplish that in the most efficient and economical way possible. We will always keep you informed of any developments on your case. We always send you copies of any documents we receive from the other side of your case, as well copies of any documents we send to the other side. We ask that you keep us informed of anything that you become aware of that might affect your case.

WHICH LAWYER AT DM&R WILL HANDLE MY CASES?

Most of the attorneys at DM&R concentrate their practices in a limited number of areas of the law in which they have become very knowledgeable. Whenever possible, we will send your legal matter to a branch office if that is closest to your home, to make it easier for you to meet with your attorney when necessary.
